Busy Can Cost You Ground

Sheila

Busy can look like progress and actually cost you ground. If you've been building for years and something still isn't clicking the way it should, this episode is going to name what may actually be happening for you. I've spent years working inside founders' businesses across a wide range of industries. And what I keep seeing is that the move that changes everything is usually already visible. It just takes clear eyes to find it. And today I'm sharing a reframe that creates the shift and what it looks like to finally stop waiting for certainty before you take the step that's been asking you to make a move. Hi, welcome to the podcast. I'm Sheila Botelho, and I believe true success is built from the inside out. You're listening to a mini sode designed to help you live into what lights you up this week. So if you caught Thursday's episode, you know I was talking about why going big right now, building something real, pursuing impact and wealth is actually one of the most important things a good-hearted leader can do. Because the world needs more resources in the hands of people who actually care what they do with them. And this episode is the natural next step of that conversation. Because here's what I'm noticing. There are founders in my world, people who have been building for years, who are doing a lot. They're busy, they're producing. Things look like they're moving and they are. And yet something isn't clicking the way that it used to. And I want to name what I think is actually happening. It's not that they're not working hard enough, it's that they're doing more of what they've always done without stopping to ask whether that's still the right thing to be doing right now. The business landscape has genuinely shifted. And what worked two or three years ago may not be what's going to carry you forward this season. So I want to invite you to take off the blinders just for a moment, look around, ask yourself honestly, is what I'm currently doing actually positioned for where things are going? And more than that, is there an opportunity right in front of me that I haven't even recognized as one yet? That second question is the one that changes everything. Because often we can't see the opportunity clearly when we're inside our own experience of it. We haven't walked this terrain before. It's new. And so, of course, there's uncertainty. Of course, we hesitate. But here's what I want to say to you directly. The reason you haven't made the move yet isn't because you don't know enough. It's because you haven't been here before and you don't know what the outcome will be. And that's actually completely okay. Because here's the thing: go back to when you started your business. Was everything 100% certain then? Of course it wasn't. And yet you took the step anyway. And that step gave you data. It showed you what was possible, it moved you forward in a way that staying in your head never could have. That's always how it works. We don't take the step because we have certainty. We take the step to find out. And when we don't, we lose first mover advantage. We look up one day and the landscape has shifted completely around us, and we wonder, why did we wait? This is exactly why I love doing what I call breakthrough days. It's a full day working directly with me, just you and I, looking at your business with clear eyes. We look at what's working, what needs to shift, and what opportunity is sitting right there in front of you that you may not even be seeing yet. We build the clarity and the plan together in real time. So you leave knowing exactly what your next move is and why. If any of this is landing for you today, I'd love for you to check out the details. The link is in the show notes. Thank you for being here. I hope you have a beautiful rest of your week and get clear on that next step that you're going to make. I'll see you on the next episode.
