The Sheila Botelho Show: Business Strategy and the Inner Work of Leadership
The Sheila Botelho Show is a business and leadership podcast for founders, CEOs, and women leading at the highest level of their work, who are ready to build the next decade of their business with more clarity, more profit, and more of themselves in the room.
You’ve already done the hard part. You’ve built something that works. You’ve hit the goals that looked impressive from the outside. And somewhere along the way, you started wondering what it would feel like to grow without trading pieces of yourself for the next milestone.
That’s the conversation happening on this show.
Every week, Sheila pulls up a chair for the kind of conversations you’d have with a trusted friend who’s spent decades growing businesses through wave after wave of change, reading rooms, and helping people come home to themselves no matter how fast the landscape moves.
You’ll hear about business strategy, leadership, profit, scaling, identity, creativity, and the shifting landscape of entrepreneurship in a season where everything is changing at once. Solo chats, minisodes, and conversations with founders and leaders building businesses with depth and integrity. Real talk for the woman who’s done the surface-level work and is ready for something with more substance.
So come on in. Get comfortable. This is the place to think bigger, lead steadier, and trust yourself more fully every time you press play.

What I’m Letting Go Of Before the New Year Begins | EP 557
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
This minisode is a pause between what was and what’s coming. The quiet space after the holidays and before the calendar turns, when reflection feels natural and the urge to reset hasn’t fully arrived yet. It’s a moment many women feel deeply, even if they don’t name it.
In this episode, I share a simple but powerful reframe. We don’t release the year to erase it. We release the emotional weight, the pressure, and the stories we’ve outgrown. What we keep is the wisdom, the signals, and the inner knowing that emerged along the way.
You’ll be guided through a gentle reflection to help you soften what no longer needs to follow you forward while preserving what truly strengthened you. This conversation is an invitation into spaciousness, calibration, and intentional leadership as you step toward the new year.

Liminal Days After Holidays
SheilaThis stretch of time has a very particular feel to it. The days after the holidays, before the calendar turns, when things are quieter on the outside but louder on the inside, I've had so many conversations with women who are carrying both gratitude for what was and a low hum of exhaustion from everything that it took to get here. What I want to offer you today is this: You do not need to rush to reset or reinvent yourself right now. There is a way to release the year that honors what you lived, keeps what mattered, and creates space for what's next to meet you gently.
Welcome And Core Belief
SheilaHi, welcome to the podcast. I'm Sheila Botelho, and I believe true success is built from the inside out. You're listening to a mini sode designed to help you live into what lights you up this week.
Why Release Without Erasing
SheilaThere's something liminal about this moment. It's not quite the old year anymore, and it's not quite the new one. And you might feel a strange mix of relief, fatigue, maybe tenderness, hopefully pride, anticipation all at once. There's no problems to solve. There's nothing that you really need to be doing right now other than being in this space. This is not the part, though, where we wipe the slate clean or pretend the year didn't shape us. We don't release the year to erase it. We release it to unhook from the emotional weight we no longer need to carry. What gets released are the pressures that you absorbed that were never yours to begin with. The expectations you outgrew, the stories about who you had to be to succeed or be accepted or keep everything moving, those can soften and fall away. And what stays with you is different. What stays is the wisdom that only comes from lived experience. The signals that your body sent you, the moments that clarified what matters right now, the inner knowing that quietly strengthened you, even when things felt uncertain.
Three Gentle Reflections
SheilaIf you feel supportive, here are three simple reflections that you can hold without forcing answers for yourself. Number one, what felt heavy this year? Number two, what strengthened me even if I didn't recognize it at the time? And number three, what will not follow me into 2026? You don't have to write a manifesto or make any kind of decision. Just noticing this stuff is enough. Spaciousness begins with awareness.
Leadership Through Discernment
SheilaThis is where leadership starts to recalibrate, not through the hustle and the pushing and the proving, but through discernment. When there's space, the next truer version of your leadership has room to arrive. And that feels clean, it feels honest, less performative, and more rooted. And this is a kind of self-care that actually changes how you move through your work and your relationships. Not adding more things, but carrying less with intention.
Intentional Letting Go And Close
SheilaSo as we move toward the new year, hold this close. When we let go with intention, the path to who we're becoming is beautifully clear. Thanks so much for listening, and I will see you on the next episode.
