Feeling the midsummer lull or just wishing you could pause for five minutes? This episode is your permission to do exactly that. I'll walk you through a five-minute practice to reconnect with what lights you up, so you can lead your life and your business with more joy, alignment and clarity. No hacks, no hustle, just space to breathe. Hi, welcome to the podcast. I'm Sheila Botelho and you're listening to a mini soad where I share an insight designed to help you live into what lights you up. This week. I am so glad that you pressed play on this, because this is your friendly reminder that, no matter what's happening in your business, your inbox or your personal life, you're allowed to take five minutes and just be.
Sheila:I'm recording this in the middle of July and, even though business is still moving, I've noticed something in the air, and maybe you felt it too. It's the pause. There's something about this time of year where, even if businesses are growing and expanding, there's just more of a feeling of spaciousness that's like beckoning us to take advantage of it, and it's where we're invited to slow down. Even if you're not officially on vacation, even if you're launching, even if you're in a season of momentum, there's this shift that happens when you give yourself just a little space to breathe. And so that is what this mini-sode is all about. It's not big strategy, it's not a sales tip, just a simple reset, because I know something about you, because you've been listening. You're someone who holds a lot, you care deeply, you show up for others, and it's easy to forget that you're allowed to receive too. So here's something I do when I feel like I need to come back to me. It's a five minute practice. It's easy, it's free and it's wildly effective. And that practice is what's lighting me up right now. You can do this while you're walking, while you're sitting on the couch at your desk. You can do it while you're sipping something cold outside.
Sheila:Take five minutes to ask yourself this question what is lighting me up right now and how can I do more of it this week? Let it be simple. It could be laughing with your kids, not setting an alarm one day and just waking up. Naturally, it could be sending a voice note to someone that you adore but you haven't talked to in a while. I just did that earlier. It could be splashing your feet in some water, wearing something that makes you feel hot, powerful and completely you. Let it. Surprise you what comes up. Let it be something that has absolutely nothing to do with productivity and everything to do with presence. That's the secret.
Sheila:Doing more of what lights you up doesn't make your life better. It actually sharpens your vision in business, too. When you're connected to yourself, you make better decisions, you sell with more ease, you attract the kind of people you actually want to work with, you really glow, and that glow creates momentum. And here's what I'll leave you with today. You don't have to earn your rest. You don't have to justify your joy because you're allowed to feel good for no reason at all. Let this mini-sode be your permission slip to reconnect with the magic of you, and let that lead the way this week. I'll see you on another episode. Have a beautiful rest of your week. Big blessings, thank you.
