Sheila:

Most people wait for certainty before they choose, but I've found that clarity comes from movement, not overthinking. I'm sharing the story of a time I had multiple good options and no guarantees, and the moment I finally stopped outsourcing my power and trusted myself to choose, that one decision changed everything. Hi, welcome to the podcast. I'm Sheila Botelho and I'm committed to helping you reconnect to your purpose, elevate your wellbeing and build your version of a happy, successful life. You're listening to a mini-sode where I share an insight designed to help you live into what lights you up this week.

Sheila:

I was reminded recently of a time when I had several really good options in front of me and each one could have led me somewhere meaningful, but I had no way of knowing how it would turn out. I mean, we've all been there, right? I remember standing in that space of tension. It wasn't really fear exactly, but pressure, the kind of pressure that comes from wanting to get it right. And the truth is there was no right. There was just right for me in that moment. And guess what? There were multiple right options. So I had to make a decision and I did, and it wasn't because I was a hundred percent sure, but it was because I trusted that, even if it didn't work out the way I'd hoped, I'd figure it out, I could course correct, I could pivot, I could ask for help. That is self-trust. It's not blind confidence. It's grounded belief in your ability to move forward, even without a map. We live in a world obsessed with certainty, and I fall into that trap myself, all or nothing thinking, though it's so normalized, especially in high achieving spaces. But that is not truth, that is conditioning. Arianna Huffington wrote in Thrive about a third way beyond burnout and beyond hustle, and that book really came to me during a time where I was in another pivot moment. I've come to realize even more than that third way. There's actually so many ways, and most of them begin when you trust yourself enough to choose the one that feels the most true for you.

Sheila:

One of my clients last year was facing a similar moment. She'd been pivoting her business over and over, trying to fall back in love with it after not feeling so much in love with it and trying to reshape it into something that fit. But no matter what tweaks she made, something felt just off, until one day, away from her usual environment, she felt a full body. Yes, for something entirely different, a brand new business idea that felt wildly aligned and totally different from the work she'd been known for for over 15 years. And she trusted it Not at first. We had a number of conversations about it before she finally trusted it. She also surrounded herself with people who could hold that vision. With her, she took one step and then another, and some doors closed and others flew wide open, and earlier this year she launched her first CPG product and a completely new brand. And now she is lit up. Oh, she's so lit up, she's reconnected.

Sheila:

But you know, it all started with her leaning into her own self-trust. So this week I want to remind you you do not have to know every step to begin. You don't have to have a perfect plan, but you do have to trust that version of you right now that you're capable of choosing their next best step and you can trust them to figure out the rest. Thanks for listening. If you haven't already check out the Season Success Method and the Guided Meditation in the show notes, it is the exact process that I return to when I need to realign and create new beautiful outcomes in my own life, leaning into that self-trust first. Have a beautiful rest of your week, big blessings.
