Ever feel like you’re spinning your wheels—starting, stopping, second-guessing, and wondering why things aren’t moving forward? You’re not alone. But here’s what I’ve learned: Real momentum isn’t something you wait for—it’s something you build. In this episode, I’m pulling back the curtain on a shift I made in my fitness routine that ended up transforming my business, my relationships, and my energy in ways I never expected.

Consistency in one area of your life fuels confidence in every other. Whether it’s lifting weights or showing up for your audience, small daily actions create unstoppable momentum over time. I’ve seen it in my own life, and I’ve seen it in my clients’ businesses—when they commit to showing up, things start to click.

So, where can you create momentum? What’s one action you can take this week that will build trust with yourself? Let’s talk about the simple steps that make the biggest impact—and how you can start applying this today.

Sheila:

Small, consistent actions lead to bigger results over time.

Sheila:

Where can you start building momentum? Hi, welcome to the Connect with Sheila Botelho podcast. I'm an entrepreneur, self-care strategist and creator of the Seasoned Self-Care app. I'm committed to helping you reconnect to your purpose, elevate your wellbeing and build your version of a happy, successful life. You're listening to a mini-sode where I share an insight to help you live into what lights you up this week.

Sheila:

If you've ever felt like you're spinning your wheels, starting and stopping, or struggling to make progress in a certain area of your life, this episode is for you, because the key ingredient to building real momentum is consistency. Now, momentum isn't something that just happens. You may have found that. It's something really that you create, and when you show up consistently in one area of your life, the energy and confidence that you build naturally spills over into everything else. And I have a story about this for you from my own life.

Sheila:

A few months ago, I made a deeper commitment to my fitness routine, specifically lifting heavier at the gym and also deepening my yoga practice, because I knew for one to work well, the other was required, meaning to lift heavy things and to do it well. I needed to have flexibility and to be able to heal well and restore myself well. Now, I've always been a really active person, but something shifted when I decided to show up no matter what, not just when I felt like it, not just when my schedule was clear, because it's never really clear, but it was a non-negotiable. And something wild happened the more I committed to these workouts, the more energy, clarity and discipline I had in other areas of my life. My business got a boost, my creativity skyrocketed, my client calls felt sharper, my content started flowing effortlessly and my relationships even improved. Because this is what I found Momentum is transferable. When you prove to yourself that you can be consistent in one area, you start trusting yourself to do the same in others.

Sheila:

Now, why does this work? This isn't just about fitness. I've seen this play out in my clients' businesses too. One client, a really amazing entrepreneur, was struggling to get traction in her marketing and she kept stopping and starting, second guessing her content and overcomplicating everything which I've been there, we do this. But once she committed to a simple, consistent content strategy, just showing up three times a week her audience started to grow, her engagement started to increase and she started to notice momentum building in her business. Now, this is the same principle. Small, consistent actions lead to bigger results over time.

Sheila:

So my question for you today is where can you start building momentum? Is it moving your body daily, posting content consistently? If that's what you're into, reaching out to one new connection each day, blocking focus time to work on your next big thing, pick one small action and commit to it this week not for perfection, just for progress, because the more you show up, the easier it gets. If this resonated for you, check out the links in the show notes and reach out to me. There is a way for you to text me as well and I would love to hear what you're committing to this week. Keep building that momentum one step at a time. Thanks for listening. I'll see you on another episode. Big blessings you.
