Speaker 1:

I love having a very streamlined approach of things to look over in my business so that I can be focused and I can be serving and I'm not, like, pulled in all these different directions, because that, my friends, is how we burn out. Hi, welcome to the connect with Sheila Metello podcast. I'm an entrepreneur, self-care strategist and creator of this season's self-care app. I'm committed to helping you reconnect to your purpose, elevate your wellbeing and build your version of a happy, successful life. You're listening to a Monday Minisode where I share an insight designed to help you live into what lights you up this week.

Speaker 1:

You may have been listening to the podcast for a while and you know that human design is something that I bring up sometimes and as I'm talking about it, I'm talking about it from a place of understanding who we are and why we do the things we do. I was introduced to human design probably eight or nine years ago from a friend who I met in an online women's business community and as we got talking about really what it involved, I found it incredibly impactful for me because it just rang so true. Have you ever found that where you learn about something, like it's a personality profile or something, and people are reading off things like the Enneagram or Myers-Briggs or something like that, and it just feels so aligned. Well, I never used to feel that way with some of these other personality profiles until I learned about human design, and it's not a personality profile, it's more like literally a design of who you are in the world and it's just the way you show up and there's a lot to it, and so I invite you to check it out, because there are some interesting things about human design that I have found impact every area of my life from just an understanding perspective, like understanding who I am, why I do the things I do and why the people in my life process things and operate in the way that they do as well. I found it gives me so much grace on the people in my life process things and operate in the way that they do as well. I found it gives me so much grace on the people that I know.

Speaker 1:

If I know their human design, and even if I don't, I start to realize that each one of us has something specific that we were put on this earth to do, and while I've known that over the years, this just highlights it and it allows me to love on people where they're at in their life and in the world, doing the thing they're meant to be doing in such a more powerful way, and so today I wanted to talk about how you can align your business strategy with your human design so that you can experience greater authenticity in your work, in every area of your life and your success, and so I have just a few little key points I wanted to touch on here, and one is to understand your human design. You get to gain insights on your inherent strengths, including your decision-making processes, because, think about it life, especially in our business, there are a whole lot of micro decisions to be made at any given time, and each one of us goes through those processes differently, and that's fine when we're doing it on our own, but once you bring on even one team member or a group of people to work with you, having them understand how you make decisions is very, very important. The communication element of how we operate in our businesses is important, of utmost importance, and, by the way, I am going to link three episodes of my human design interviews that I've had over the past few years on this podcast in the show notes, so make sure you check those out. There's a couple with Andrea Berg and there's one with Kayla G that are so insightful, and actually Kayla G also gets into gene keys and things like that. So it's interesting. It's just, I find, a really fascinating framework to look at your life through.

Speaker 1:

It's not something that I like every single day access information on to determine my next steps. It's just more of a sense of understanding really, of the way I do things, and I view it as kind of like a little filter that I can run some things through when I am making decisions and I'm wanting to move forward in my life in different areas. So I said the first one when you understand your human design, you can gain insights to your inherent strengths and decision-making processes. This has been powerful because for me, it also helps me understand, and clients that I work with, that you don't have to be amazing at everything. In fact, when we really say that out loud, of course we know that to be true, right, so it actually invites you to take steps faster in hiring or delegating for other people to be doing the things that you are not amazing at. I mean, you might be good at them, but you can't do everything. That's one key thing in business when you can take yourself out of the equation more and more, you actually are going to find you get more traction and greater growth. So the second thing that you should consider if you're thinking about human design, I feel like it's like an essence of who you are that gets to filter through into your marketing. You get to customize your strategies that truly authentically represent who you are and in doing so, you attract your ideal audience Because, again, not everyone is going to be for you.

Speaker 1:

A lot of people might like you but they may not want to work with you. They may not be interested in what you have to offer for what they're looking at in their life at this current time, and that is okay. But what we do want is not like mass numbers of people just banging down our door to work with us. We want aligned clients who may stay with us for a good period of time and then lead us to other aligned clients and then sometimes during that process we do find like explosive growth happens, but it's aligned growth and this way it's easier for you to be serving these aligned clients with your offers and being really streamlined in the offers that you are providing, or if you're a product-based business, you're very specific on the product that you're offering, so you're not needing to have, like, so many different things. Truly, amazon already exists, right, they have all the stuff, they have everything you could ever imagine under the sun and that is a very big organization. And I don't know about you. I love having a very streamlined approach of things to look over in my business so that I can be focused and I can be serving and I'm not like pulled in all these different directions, because that, my friends, is how we burn out. And I'm not saying that. If that's your big goal to have this huge, a huge iteration of what you currently have in terms of business, go for it, and you're going to have team members who may be better at certain elements of that to bring it to life as well.

Speaker 1:

The third thing I wanted to touch on in a way that human design can create impact for you in your business is it really enhances client relationships. I have found it opens up questions for me to build deeper connections in every interaction that I have and it allows for, when you do know someone's human design, it allows you to really operate with more harmony, and this, I've found, has created increased trust and loyalty with the people that I work with. And now not everyone knows their human design, not everyone's interested in knowing it, and that's okay. But at least from my own self, I know my best practices of how I show up and I can honor them, and in doing so I am more clearly able to hold space for other people, and from there those good questions come. So at least, if nothing else, I'm able to ask questions, to be able to create that connection and to fully understand where these people I'm dealing with are coming from and, hopefully, to be able to serve them better. So those are my thoughts for today's mini-sode.

Speaker 1:

Think about your human design, if you know it already. Think about the ways that you can use these three key things to really create more impact in your business and maybe just your overall life. So understanding it, for how does it impact your decision-making processes? Also tailoring your marketing approach and enhancing client relationships. I hope you enjoy that and, again, like I said, there's three episodes that are going to be tagged in the show notes and they're going to offer valuable insights into how you can integrate human design principles into your personal and professional life and I really appreciate you listening. And if you feel like you want to be growing your business and scaling to the next level and really taking off with this idea that you may have had in the back of your mind for a while and you want to do so in community, I have an opening in my Seasons Growth Accelerator that you can participate and do this in community so you can see a link in the show notes to learn all about the program and I look forward to seeing you in there if it feels aligned for you.

Speaker 1:
