The Sheila Botelho Show: Business Strategy and the Inner Work of Leadership
You've built a business and hit the goals that looked impressive from the outside.
And somewhere in the middle of it, you started wondering what it would feel like to grow without trading pieces of yourself for the next milestone.
That's the room this show holds.
Every week, Sheila brings the kind of conversation you'd have with a strategist who's been inside the systems, the identity work, the decisions that don't have a clean framework yet. An exchange built from decades of sitting across from founders navigating exactly this stretch.
You'll hear business strategy, leadership, profit, identity, and the shifting landscape of entrepreneurship, covered the way it actually shows up: tangled together, not in neat categories.
Solo episodes. Minisodes. Conversations with founders and leaders building with depth instead of noise.
This is for the founder who's done the surface-level work and is ready for something with more weight to it.
Come on in. This is the place to expand, lead steadier, and trust yourself more fully every time you press play.
New episodes Tuesdays and Thursdays.

When Freedom Turns Into Another Cage
SheilaI've noticed something and I see it constantly. Individuals who leave their corporate lives specifically so they can call the shots on their own, and somehow they build a structure just as heavy as the one they left. Today I'm sharing the check-in question I use with myself and my clients when a business starts running them instead of the other way around. My work is uncovering what people actually want underneath what they've built. And this episode hands you the exact lens for your own operation.
Inside Out Success Framing
SheilaHi, welcome to the podcast. I'm Sheila Botelho and I believe true success is built from the inside out.
Why You Chose Entrepreneurship
SheilaAll right, I want to ask you something, and I want you to actually think about it. Like truly turn it over in your mind instead of rushing past this. Have you ever noticed that you stepped into entrepreneurship because you needed to call the shots for your own life? Like genuinely, where you just needed to be the one deciding how your days went, how your energy got spent, what got built, and how.
The Check In Question
SheilaHere it is. Are you loving the way your business actually runs day to day? Now listen, there are always going to be pieces of any business we don't love. That's just part of owning something. That's part of being a human. What I'm asking is something far more specific than that. Are you finding yourself disillusioned with what you've created? Are you feeling exhausted by it? Like it doesn't light you up, and you're pushing through anyway because this is what people
Notice The Disillusionment First
Sheilado. This is what you believe it's meant to be. If that's really hitting you right now, here's what I want you to do. Just notice it. That is the whole first step. Notice it. Then I invite you to get more curious and ask yourself a few questions. What would you like to see fall away? What's the version of this that you'd actually desire? The one that's true for you instead of the one you inherited. Now, here is what I invite you to watch for, though.
Is This You Or Inherited
SheilaIf something in your business feels heavy or has to be done this way, and nobody is actually making you do it that way, that's worth a look. Ask yourself which pieces you built because they're you, and which pieces you built because that's how, quote, it's supposed to be done, unquote. And here's what I want you to know before we wrap up.
Strip It Back And Choose One
SheilaYou're allowed to strip the pieces away, even the ones you built yourself. So this week I invite you to pick one piece of your business that feels heavy today and ask yourself honestly, is this you or is this what you inherited?
