The Sheila Botelho Show: Business Strategy and the Inner Work of Leadership
You've built a business and hit the goals that looked impressive from the outside.
And somewhere in the middle of it, you started wondering what it would feel like to grow without trading pieces of yourself for the next milestone.
That's the room this show holds.
Every week, Sheila brings the kind of conversation you'd have with a strategist who's been inside the systems, the identity work, the decisions that don't have a clean framework yet. An exchange built from decades of sitting across from founders navigating exactly this stretch.
You'll hear business strategy, leadership, profit, identity, and the shifting landscape of entrepreneurship, covered the way it actually shows up: tangled together, not in neat categories.
Solo episodes. Minisodes. Conversations with founders and leaders building with depth instead of noise.
This is for the founder who's done the surface-level work and is ready for something with more weight to it.
Come on in. This is the place to expand, lead steadier, and trust yourself more fully every time you press play.
New episodes Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Thirty Years of Marriage and Building a Business That Can Actually Hold a Life | EP 615
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
This week marks thirty years of marriage for me, and I'm using this episode to pull back the curtain on where I actually am right now: the anniversary, my youngest heading off to college, finishing my book draft, and everything the last nine months have taught me about staying anchored to a vision while life keeps moving.
The takeaway: you can be in the middle of massive change and still be building toward something, and both things can be true at once.

A Real-Time Life Update
SheilaI've been sitting with a lot this week. A milestone anniversary, a son about to launch into his life, a book draft that's finally done, and none of it fits into a framework. And I didn't want it to. This is a real-time look at the season that I'm actually in, the parts I'm proud of, and the parts I'm still figuring out because staying anchored to your vision while life keeps handing you new chapters is its own kind of work. Hi, welcome to the podcast. I'm Sheila Botelho, and I believe true success is built from the inside out.
Thirty Years Of Marriage
SheilaSo I celebrated my 30th wedding anniversary this week. 30 years married, 34 years since Peter and I started dating. It's wild to think about it. We actually met just before we started working together, and then we ended up building something together on top of building a life together, which is its own story for another day. And Peter and I were laughing about it because in our heads, we are still somehow in our 20s. How did we get here? How did 30 years happen? We haven't spent a ton of time in retrospect because there's been so much going on in this season of our life, like going back through every memory that is. But this week, some of them have been surfacing on their own and it has been sweet. So very sweet. And if you want the fuller story, actually, of how we met and what we learned along the way, you can go back to episode 103 because I recorded it on our 25th anniversary. It's called 25 Years of Marriage, How It Started and What We've Learned. And this is in the original iteration of the Sheila Patello show podcast. And I spent most of that episode actually on the second half of that title, What We've Learned, because that's the part that actually helps someone. And here's the thing: I'll say now that I still believe completely. And that is our relationship has gotten stronger through challenges. Some of those challenges we chose on purpose in order to grow. And that's actually how our whole journey even began together. Some of the challenges came looking for us, of course, as well as I'm sure you found in your life. But either way, we came through them closer than we went in. And of course, I'm not going to open my whole diary on this one. That's not what this episode is for. But I do want to give you a real look at what's moving through my life right now, because I think there's something in that for you too, even if the specifics look nothing alike. So here is what else is
Launching A Youngest To College
Sheilagoing on. So my older son is heading into his third year of college. And my younger son is heading off to college for the first time in about a month. And I've done this before with my older son, but there's something different about doing it with your youngest. It's the last time I know I'm going to miss him the way I miss my older son. And at the same time, I'm even more excited for him than I expected to be. I am so proud of both my boys. And what I love most is watching how resourceful they are in everything they take on, watching them figure out what they enjoy, what they're good at, who they are and who they want to become. And because of that, I've noticed something happening in me. I'm reparenting myself into yet another phase of parenting. Because every stage of raising our kids asks for an upgraded version of us. I keep thinking back to what I was going through at their ages. And it really helps me ask better questions and to actually hear their answers because I remember what it felt like to be the one launching. And we're all different, but there's enough overlap in what we go through at these ages that it gives me something real to draw from.
A Book Draft Finally Finished
SheilaThe other big thing moving through my life right now is my book. I finished the first draft just over the weekend, and I'm now heading into the editing process. And this is a book that has been wanting to be written for a long time. It is built entirely around the frameworks I've created through my work. And here's the thing I want you to know about it. This is not just a business book. It's about building the life you actually want to feel while you're building the business, the family, all of it at the same time. And if you want to follow that journey more closely, I invite you to go to sheilabotello.com forward slash FC and join the first chapters club. You'll get more of the behind the scenes as this comes together over there. I'm
New Support For Founders This Fall
Sheilaalso in the middle of conversations right now about what's coming this fall. New offerings, new levels of support for the founders and leaders I work with. And once again, all of it built on the same foundation. The inner work sits right alongside the business work. It always has. It's never just about the business. There's more to it than that. And I don't think that's ever going to change for me. And
Summer Joy After A Big Move
Sheilaso we're about halfway through the summer now, and I've had a genuinely good stretch of the summer. Nature, the beach, so many walks, so many walks, bike rides, time with friends and family. And it's also had me looking back on the last nine months because they took us through a lot. We moved, we started fresh in a new place while still holding on to the connections we built with the people back where we used to live. And any big transition like that comes with pieces that you expect and pieces that you don't. And we had both. And even more inner work got done along the way than I anticipated. And I think that's just what this is. This is what we're here to do. So that's what I've been integrating this week. Peter and I got to spend some beautiful time celebrating, away from our usual routine, just enjoying each other. And in that time, we looked back at where we've come from, where we are right now, and we rooted even deeper into what we're still heading into. It's a strange and wonderful thing to be at this point in life and still be moving toward a vision. We've hit bunches of our visions that were set years ago, and we're living inside one of them right now. And we still have more we're building toward. And I think that is the whole thing. We all need something we're growing into, something out ahead of us. And that's what makes life feel like it means something. So
A Vision Check-In Before You Go
SheilaI invite you to take a few minutes this week to check in with the vision that you're building toward and ask yourself truly, honestly, how close you're standing to it right now. And in the meantime, stay tuned to Sheila's notes because that's where everything I'm building behind the scenes gets shared first, along with the regular updates on all of these things. And you can subscribe at the link in the description. And before you go, I'll leave you with this. Take this as your invitation to look at the vision for your own life. Do a real check-in with yourself. How do you feel about where you're at and where you're headed? I so appreciate you tuning in, and I look forward to seeing you on the next episode.
